It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Brooks ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past the Chicago Washington Patriots 19-18. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Brooks' win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Chicago Washington, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brooks will venture away from home to challenge Kennedy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Crusaders have averaged an impressive 10.7 runs per game this season. As for Chicago Washington, they will head out to face off against Curie at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Condors will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight.
