Volleyball Recap: Mesquite Triumphs

It was close, but on Tuesday the Mesquite Skeeters sidestepped the Ferris Yellowjackets for a 3-2 win.

In the three sets Mesquite was on fire: they won each by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-0, 25-0, 0-25, 0-25, 15-0.

Mesquite's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Ferris, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-6.

When Mesquite and Ferris next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Skeeters will take on Everman and their five-game winning streak at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ferris will try to stop Maypearl's five-game winning streak when they meet at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
