Recap: McClatchy vs. Archbishop Mitty
The McClatchy Lions and the Archbishop Mitty Monarchs squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the McClatchy Lions had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Monarchs by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, McClatchy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 85th, while Archbishop Mitty is ranked ninth).
This is the second loss in a row for McClatchy and nudges their season record down to 21-6-5. As for Archbishop Mitty, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-2-4.
