Soccer Game Preview: Booker T. Washington vs. Navarre

Booker T. Washington hasn't had much luck against Navarre recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Booker T. Washington Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Navarre Raiders at 7:30 p.m. Booker T. Washington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.9 goals per game this season.

Booker T. Washington's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Pensacola with a sharp 9-0 victory.

Booker T. Washington's offense was hitting Pensacola from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Sarah Westerheim led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Navarre had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Patriots. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Patriots are ranked 319th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Navarre is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 41 goals over those eight contests. As for Booker T. Washington, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-5-2.

Booker T. Washington might still be hurting after the 8-0 loss they got from Navarre in their previous meeting back in November of 2023. Can Booker T. Washington avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
