Volleyball Recap: Lilia Ballantine and Grace Bennett Secure Win for Taunton

Taunton hadn't done well against Stoughton recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Black Knights. The contest marked the Tigers' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Leading Taunton to victory were Grace Bennett and Lilia Ballantine. Bennett had three digs and two aces, while Ballantine had five aces. Those five aces gave Ballantine a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Taunton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

The win got Taunton back to even at 3-3. As for Stoughton, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Taunton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Sharon on the 17th. As for Stoughton, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Foxborough on the 17th.
