Softball Recap: Service Drops Highest Score of Season Against West Anchorage

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bettye Davis East Anchorage, Service was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the West Anchorage Eagles. The Cougars' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Service let McKinley Fuller and Madison Davis run wild. Fuller went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI, while Davis went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four RBI gave Davis a new career-high. Kira Williams also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Service kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The win got Service back to even at 3-3. As for West Anchorage, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Service didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-1 victory against Lathrop on the 1st. As for West Anchorage, they will welcome Homer at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
