Soccer Game Preview: Katy vs. Mayde Creek

The Katy Tigers will challenge the Mayde Creek Rams at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Katy managed to keep up with Tompkins until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Katy lost 6-1 to Tompkins. Noah Sosan was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Katy's goal came courtesy of Anthony Ayodele, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Mayde Creek's offense. They came up short against Seven Lakes on Wednesday, falling 6-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now lost six in a row.

Mayde Creek's loss dropped their record down to 2-8-3. As for Katy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7-2.
