Baseball Recap: Slaughter Community Charter Takes a Loss

Slaughter Community Charter fell victim to Independence and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 7-0. The Knights just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Slaughter Community Charter's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Independence, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Slaughter Community Charter will head out to square off against Port Allen at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Pelicans will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. As for Independence, they are taking a road trip to face off against East Feliciana at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
