Football Recap: Salem Skates Past Glenn Hills with Ease + How To Watch

Salem never let their opponents score on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 41-0 win over the Glenn Hills Spartans. The Seminoles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.

Salem got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaleb McAlister out in front who picked up 83 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 82 yards and one score. Those 82 rushing yards gave McAlister a new career-high. Ian Morris also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Salem didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off six passes before the game was over. Jahkeem Alston led the group effort, picking up four of those interceptions all by himself.

The win made it two in a row for Salem and bumps their season record up to 2-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.5 points over those games. As for Glenn Hills, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Salem will take on Stone Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Seminoles will be up against the Pirates' rather soft defense (which has allowed 49.33 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Glenn Hills, they will face off against Burke County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Spartans' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
