Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Springfield). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Woodson Cavaliers 63-6. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 263rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mark-Anthony Whyte continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 200 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards. Brady Davies was in the mix too, providing West Springfield with two touchdowns.

West Springfield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 316 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.
