Willsboro Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 40-29 to the Schroon Lake Wildcats. One positive for the Warriors, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Willsboro Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Schroon Lake, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Willsboro Central will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Seton Catholic Central at 6:30 p.m. on January 15, 2025. After both having extra time off, Schroon Lake and Warrensburg will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 2:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Schroon Lake's defense has only allowed 25.8 points per game this season, so Warrensburg's offense will have their work cut out for them.
