Recap: Northside - Jacksonville Monarchs vs. J.H. Rose Rampants
The Northside - Jacksonville Monarchs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They fell to J.H. Rose 28-22. Northside - Jacksonville has struggled against J.H. Rose recently, as their contest on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Monarchs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Skyla Claxton, who scored nine points.
J.H. Rose's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cameron Daise led the charge by scoring ten points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Daise has scored at least a third of J.H. Rose's points. The team also got some help courtesy of NaKiya Carmichael, who scored seven points.
Northside - Jacksonville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for J.H. Rose, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-14.
Northside - Jacksonville will be playing at home against New Bern at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for J.H. Rose, they will head out on the road to challenge D.H. Conley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. D.H. Conley is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.1 points per game this season.
