The Pasadena Memorial Mavericks came up short against the Dawson Eagles, falling 6-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Mavericks in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Pasadena Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Dawson, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Looking ahead, Pasadena Memorial is taking a road trip to take on Dobie at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Dawson, they will square off against Shadow Creek at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Dawson has won four straight at home, while Shadow Creek won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
