Basketball Game Preview: Glenelg Gladiators vs. Wilde Lake Wildecats

Glenelg is 2-8 against Wilde Lake since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Glenelg Gladiators will face off against the Wilde Lake Wildecats. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Glenelg is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Wheaton, falling 80-57.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wilde Lake). They claimed a resounding 91-61 victory over Patterson. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Wilde Lake now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Glenelg, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Glenelg couldn't quite finish off Wilde Lake when the teams last played back in January and fell 64-61. Can Glenelg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
