Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Blue River Valley). They took down the Wes-Del Warriors 47-28 on Saturday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Vikings as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Ella Schmitt was a one-woman wrecking crew for Blue River Valley as she posted 15 points. Holly Polston was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Blue River Valley's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7. As for Wes-Del, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10.

Blue River Valley will head out to square off against Knightstown at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wes-Del, they will welcome Cambridge City Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wes-Del is facing Cambridge City Lincoln at the right time seeing as Cambridge City Lincoln is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
