Baseball Recap: Cerritos' Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Six

While Cerritos's victory against Pioneer wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Dons skirted past the Titans 7-5. Winning may never get old, but the Dons sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Cerritos let Adrian Regis and Brandon Vo run wild. Regis scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Vo went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Malonzo, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

The win got Cerritos back to even at 9-9. As for Pioneer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, Cerritos and Pioneer will both be playing Artesia the next time they take the field. The Dons will head out to face the Pioneers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Titans will head out to face them at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
