Soccer Recap: Gaffney Takes a Loss

Gaffney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Riverside Warriors, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Gaffney can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 141st, while Riverside are ranked 39th).

Gaffney's loss dropped their record down to 1-8-1. As for Riverside, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Gaffney is set to square off against their familiar foe Wade Hampton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Riverside will challenge rival Spartanburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
