Foothill's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Burbank Titans as they made off with a 17-2 win. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.
Foothill let Oralis Vasquez Mendoza and Mercede Averett run wild. Vasquez Mendoza went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs, while Averett went 2-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs. Those four hits gave Vasquez Mendoza a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Savannah James, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Foothill lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Foothill's record now sits at 9-7. As for Burbank, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.
