Basketball Game Preview: Meyer Ravens vs. Crawford Pirates

Meyer is 2-8 against Crawford since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Meyer Ravens will host the Crawford Pirates at 5:00 p.m. Meyer knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 games -- so hopefully Crawford likes a good challenge.

If Meyer beats Crawford with 84 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Meyer blew past Bosqueville, posting an 84-51 win. The Ravens have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Crawford ended up a good deal behind Itasca on Tuesday and lost 43-24. The game marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meyer's victory was their 13th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 29-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.6 points per game. As for Crawford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.
