Baseball Recap: Grant Takes a Loss

Grant lost to Chavez last Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Lancers lost 15-1 to the Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lancers have suffered against the Eagles since May 10, 2024.

Grant saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Flot, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Flot is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Grant and nudges their season record down to 3-11. As for Chavez, their record is now 8-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grant will host Arleta at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.22 runs per game on average), something the Lancers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Chavez, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Monroe at 6:00 p.m. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
