Basketball Recap: Woodland Wildcats vs. Bowdon Red Devils
Woodland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 76-63 to the Bowdon Red Devils. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.
Kaiden Prothro was a one-man wrecking crew for Bowdon as he dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. Prothro's morning made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Brown, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds.
Woodland's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Bowdon, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Woodland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 66-42 victory against Unity Christian on the 30th. As for Bowdon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-61 defeat against Cedartown on the 26th.
