Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Doniphan-Trumbull). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Gibbon Buffaloes 60-0. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Buffaloes recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Parker Volk threw for 168 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes. Jack Poppe was his top target, picking up 92 receiving yards and a pair of scores. On the ground, Andrew Waters rushed for 102 yards and two TDs on only seven carries.

Doniphan-Trumbull's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Gibbon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Doniphan-Trumbull is set to square off against their familiar foe Superior at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 944 yards in their previous games. Meanwhile, Gibbon will take on rival St. Cecilia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
