Softball Recap: Keystone Heights Comes Up Short

Keystone Heights's last matchup with Middleburg could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Tuesday. The Keystone Heights Indians lost 7-1 to the Middleburg Broncos. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Broncos recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Keystone Heights saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amberlea Wagner, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Keystone Heights' loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Middleburg, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Keystone Heights will welcome Ponte Vedra at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Middleburg, they will face off against Yulee at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Yulee 1, Middleburg 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
