Softball Recap: Parrish Community's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to 18

Parrish Community put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They had just enough and edged out the Palm Harbor University Hurricanes 4-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulls also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2023.

Isabella Yazzetti tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Parrish Community's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kyndal France, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Parrish Community's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Palm Harbor University, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Parrish Community will challenge Lakewood Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Parrish Community's pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so Lakewood Ranch's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Palm Harbor University, they will take on Seminole at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Palm Harbor University is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.6 runs per game this season.
