Basketball Recap: Southeastern's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Southeastern entered their matchup against Zane Trace on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Southeastern Panthers received a blow as they fell 49-34 to the Zane Trace Pioneers. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Zane Trace was led to victory by Gunnar Mccullough and Grady Stewart. Mccullough almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds, while Stewart went 7 of 10 on his way to 19 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ezra Rippeth, who posted five points and five rebounds.

Southeastern's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2. As for Zane Trace, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Southeastern wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 56-44 victory against Alexander on the 14th. As for Zane Trace, they will host Paint Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Zane Trace is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.3 points per game this season.
