St. Joseph Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Dominic Gale, who had nine kills, four blocks, three digs, and three aces, and Jacob Lulling, who had ten digs and one assist. Gale is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now had two or more in each of the last four games he's played.
Meanwhile, Army-Navy beat Escondido Adventist Academy 3-1 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.
Army-Navy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-18, 25-13, 25-21.
Army-Navy's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for St. Joseph Academy, they now have a losing record of 10-11.
St. Joseph Academy took their win against Army-Navy when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 3-0 score.
