Baseball Recap: Isaiah Aguilera's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Southwest EC over Del Norte

Southwest EC pushed their score to five the last time they played Del Norte, but on Thursday they couldn't quite do it again. Southwest EC wound up with the same score they had in their last game (1-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The match marked the first time this season in which they were not able to get on the board.

Southwest EC saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Aguilera, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one double. That's the most stolen bases Aguilera has posted since March 1st.

Southwest EC has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-3 record this season. Del Norte's victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Coming up, Southwest EC will take on Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Del Norte, they will be taking part in a tournament against Hilltop at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Hilltop's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Del Norte's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
