Baseball Recap: Euclid Comes Up Short

Euclid fell victim to Shaker Heights and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Red Raiders, falling 15-0. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Red Raiders earlier this season, when they won 9-5.

Euclid saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Von Mooring, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Mooring is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Euclid's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Shaker Heights, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-17.

Looking ahead, Euclid will venture away from home to challenge Brooklyn at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shaker Heights, they have already played their next matchup, a 17-0 loss against Holy Name on the 17th.
