Basketball Recap: Ray Comes Up Short

Ray was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the South Heart Eagles an easy 50-27 victory. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Ray Jays of the 46-18 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Ray's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for South Heart, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ray and White Shield will round out the year against one another at at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Heart, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Lemmon at 5:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
