Recap: Winnsboro Raiders vs. Malakoff Tigers
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Winnsboro Raiders, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were dealt a 58-20 loss at the hands of the Tigers on Friday. Winnsboro's defeat signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.
Jerrion Hall was on fire for Malakoff: he rushed for 179 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Hall was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 51 yards. Mike Jones was another major influence, as he rushed for 78 yards and ran in a TD.
Winnsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 12-1. As for Malakoff, they have yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 14-0 record.
Winnsboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Malakoff will take on Brock at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brock's defense has only allowed 11.7 points per game this season, so Malakoff's offense will have their work cut out for Malakoff.
