Basketball Recap: Seagoville Snags Seventh Victory in Last Nine Games

Seagoville extended their home winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Travion Hall. The Seagoville Dragons came out on top against the Wilson Wildcats by a score of 70-58 on Tuesday thanks in part to Hall, who shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 34 points and 11 boards. That makes it eight consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Seagoville's points.

Another player making a difference was Twone Long, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards.

Seagoville has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points per game. As for Wilson, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seagoville will challenge North Mesquite at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Mesquite is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.3 points per game this season. As for Wilson, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Wilson Wildcats challenge the Adams Cougars at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Wilson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Adams likes a good challenge.
