It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but North Pontotoc had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They didn't even let the Kosciusko Whippets on the board, marking their second-straight 3-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

North Pontotoc has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season. As for Kosciusko, with the loss, they broke their five-match winning streak and moved their record to 11-20.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: North Pontotoc beat the Whippets by a score of 3-0 later that day.
