Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Squalicum). They walked away with a 63-52 win over the Meridian Trojans on Wednesday. For the Storm, this counts as revenge for the 56-45 victory the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2024.

Blake Elston was a one-man wrecking crew as he shot 73% from the field on his way to 27 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Orion Granberg-Kiddle, who posted ten points and seven boards.

Squalicum now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Meridian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Squalicum is set to face off against their familiar foe Lakewood at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Meridian will challenge rival Blaine at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
