Basketball Recap: Philo Comes Up Short

Philo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Warren Warriors and fell 70-35. While losing is never fun, the Electrics can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 523rd, while the Warriors are ranked 50th).

Philo's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Camden Stoner, who posted six points and six boards.

Philo's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Warren, they pushed their record up to 18-2 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Philo has already played their next match (against Meadowbrook), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Warren, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fairfield Union at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Warren's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 13 games.
