Basketball Recap: South Anchorage Takes a Loss

South Anchorage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 40-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chugiak Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolverines of the 43-31 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

South Anchorage's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Chugiak, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Anchorage will take on Eagle River at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Anchorage is facing Eagle River at the right time seeing as Eagle River is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Chugiak, they will face off against Bartlett at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bartlett will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Chugiak surely won't give up without a fight.
