Basketball Recap: Pipestone Comes Up Short

Pipestone lost against Redwood Valley back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pipestone Arrows fell to the Redwood Valley Cardinals 73-68. While losing is never fun, the Arrows can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while the Cardinals are ranked 36th).

Pipestone's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Redwood Valley, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.

Pipestone will head out on the road to challenge St. James at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Redwood Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Jackson County Central at 7:15 p.m. Redwood Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matchups -- so hopefully Jackson County Central likes a good challenge.
