Basketball Recap: Mt. Rainier Comes Up Short

Mt. Rainier lost against Stadium back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The matchup between the Mt. Rainier Rams and the Stadium Tigers didn't end well, with the Mt. Rainier Rams falling 76-58. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Mt. Rainier saw an underclassman step up: freshman Tanner Simpson went 9 for 18 en route to 25 points. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for Simpson. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Emil, who posted ten points and four blocks.

Mt. Rainier's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Stadium, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.

Mt. Rainier has already played their next contest, a 53-51 loss against Kennedy Catholic on the 4th. As for Stadium, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 81-70 defeat against Mount Si on the 1st.
