Basketball Game Preview: Tioga Bulldogs vs. Collinsville Pirates

The Tioga Bulldogs will face off against the Collinsville Pirates at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Tioga was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 39-33 to Era.

Meanwhile, Collinsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 77-45 loss at the hands of Slidell. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1401st, while the Greyhounds are ranked 483rd).

Collinsville's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Tioga, they dropped their record down to 6-9 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Tioga couldn't quite finish off Collinsville when the teams last played back in January of 2024 and fell 45-42. Thankfully for Tioga, Carter Scott (who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
