Shawnee Mission Christian came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the New Hope Christian Phoenix 3-0. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Phoenix, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Shawnee Mission Christian took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-12, 25-13.

Maranda Zink paced Shawnee Mission Christian's offense, picking up eight kills. Zink got some help from Carolyn Sappington and her eight assists. Zink was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 12 aces.

Shawnee Mission Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for New Hope Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Shawnee Mission Christian nor New Hope Christian have any future games scheduled.
