East Surry is 6-1 against West Wilkes since January of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The East Surry Cardinals are taking a road trip to take on the West Wilkes Blackhawks at 6:30 p.m. East Surry knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully West Wilkes likes a good challenge.

Last Wednesday, East Surry didn't have too much trouble with Forbush as they won 57-42.

Meanwhile, West Wilkes came up short against North Surry last Thursday and fell 51-43. The loss continues a trend for the Blackhawks in their matchups with the Greyhounds: they've now lost seven in a row.

East Surry's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for West Wilkes, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

East Surry came up short against West Wilkes in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 36-32. Can East Surry avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
