Volleyball Recap: Alma Takes a Loss

Alma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Bryant Hornets. The Airedales were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hornets from their previous meeting back in September of 2015.

Bryant's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Breanna Williamson led the charge by getting 12 digs and two assists. Williamson has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Katelynn Farrell, who had four digs and three aces.

Alma's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Bryant, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5-3.

Coming up, Alma will square off against Greenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bryant, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Mayflower on the 13th.
