Volleyball Game Preview: Glencoe Yellowjackets vs. Westbrook Christian Warriors

Glencoe is 1-9 against Westbrook Christian since September of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Yellowjackets will square off against the Warriors at 5:45 p.m.

Glencoe saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of Pleasant Valley by a score of 2-1.

Glencoe started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-23, 15-11.

Despite the loss, Glencoe had strong showings from Avery Barkley, who had 18 assists and five digs, and Gracyn Bunt, who had 11 digs. Bunt is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Meanwhile, Westbrook Christian beat Susan Moore 2-0 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Glencoe's defeat dropped their record down to 30-15. As for Westbrook Christian, their win bumped their record up to 23-17.
