Softball Recap: Harriman Comes Up Short

The Harriman Blue Devils came up short against the Ooltewah Owls on Saturday, falling 13-5.

Emory Thompson and Ansley Moore did some serious damage despite the final result: Thompson went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI, while Moore scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Moore a new career-high in doubles (two).

Even though they lost, Harriman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.

Harriman didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-11 win against Greenback on the 25th. As for Ooltewah, they have also already played their next game, a 10-0 victory against Tellico Plains on the 22nd.
