Volleyball Recap: Katie Mathena and Jenna Johnston Secure Win for Richmond

Richmond entered their tilt with Marion on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Giants. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red Devils also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Richmond was led to victory by Jenna Johnston and Katie Mathena. Johnston had seven aces, while Mathena had five aces. Those seven aces gave Johnston a new career-high.

Richmond's victory bumped their record up to 10-17. As for Marion, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-28.

Richmond wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Lafayette Jefferson on the 11th. As for Marion, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Kokomo on the 11th.
