Recap: Southern Choctaw Indians vs. Clarke County Bulldogs
Southern Choctaw can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They skirted past the Clarke County Bulldogs 7-6. The win was just what Southern Choctaw needed coming off of an 8-1 defeat in their prior matchup.
Southern Choctaw let Payton Williamson and Kaidence Bonner loose on the outfield. Williamson went 2-for-2 with a home run, while Bonner went 1-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylin Russell, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Southern Choctaw's victory bumped their record up to 4-6-1. As for Clarke County, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-10.
Southern Choctaw will be playing at home against Linden at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clarke County, they will head out on the road to square off against Flomaton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
