Basketball Game Preview: Southern Christian Patriots vs. Wiregrass Kings

Southern Christian is 0-4 against Wiregrass since January of 2023 but things could change on Saturday. The Southern Christian Patriots will host the Wiregrass Kings at 5:00 p.m. Wiregrass took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Southern Christian, who comes in off a win.

Last Thursday, Southern Christian strolled past Grace Christian with points to spare, taking the game 48-29. The Patriots pushed the score to 38-15 by the end of the third, a deficit the Crusader cut but never quite recovered from.

Jedd Scott was the offensive standout of the contest as he went 8 for 16 on his way to 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. That's the most points he has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Decker, who posted 13 points along with seven boards and five steals.

Meanwhile, Wiregrass played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Evangel Christian 80-38. The Kings haven't had much luck with the Lightning recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Southern Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Wiregrass, their loss dropped their record down to 9-19.
