Lake City has gone 8-2 against East Clarendon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Lake City Panthers will be playing at home against the East Clarendon Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. Lake City is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season.

On Friday, Lake City came up short against Manning and fell 47-40. The Panthers have struggled against the Monarchs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Devin Cockfield, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 boards. Lake City is 2-1 when Cockfield posts eight or more rebounds, but 3-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Blayne Edwards, who posted 12 points and eight boards.

Even though they lost, Lake City smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, East Clarendon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against Marion, falling 73-47. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 226th, while the Swamp Foxes are ranked 111th).

East Clarendon's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Lake City, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Lake City didn't have too much breathing room in their match against East Clarendon in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 56-52 victory. Does Lake City have another victory up their sleeve, or will East Clarendon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
