For the first time this season, Southern Wells will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Adams Central Flying Jets at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Southern Wells is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

Southern Wells is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Fort Wayne Canterbury, posting a 72-36 victory. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 31 points or more this season.

Southern Wells relied on the efforts of Gracie Reeves, who shot 64% from the field en route to 17 points, and Kaylee Davis, who posted ten points along with seven assists and five boards. Those 64% shooting accuracy gave Reeves a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Remi Holmes, who had nine points.

Meanwhile, Adams Central played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 67-29 loss at the hands of Bellmont. The matchup marked the Flying Jets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Southern Wells' win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Adams Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Southern Wells didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Adams Central in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 46-41 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Flying Jets' Ava Stafford, who went 6-for-14 on her way to 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven assists.
