Reading's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Wyoming Cowboys a 12-0 shutout. Considering the Blue Devils have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Lillie Riedmiller made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooke Androne, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Eliza Schierloh, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Reading always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wyoming only posted an OBP of .286.

Reading's record is now 12-10. As for Wyoming, they moved to 8-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Reading is taking a road trip to take on Boone County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Rebels have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.9 runs per game on average), something the Blue Devils will no doubt try to take advantage of. Wyoming has already played their next matchup (against Archbishop McNicholas), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
