Softball Game Preview: Farmersville Farmers vs. New Boston Lions

The Farmersville Farmers are taking a road trip to challenge the New Boston Lions at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Friday, Farmersville came up short against Ford and fell 12-8. The Farmers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bella Holland was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Smith, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

New Boston might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-1 to Redwater, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

New Boston's loss dropped their record down to 5-7-1. As for Farmersville, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10-2.
